Lamont House offers boutique dining and luxurious accommodation in the heart of Leongatha. Catering for dinner parties, special celebrations, weddings, business seminars and meetings, they also offer outside catering, celebration cakes and a platter delivery service.

Lamont House also provides accommodation in a fully-serviced, historic cottage which features all the comforts of home: reverse cycle air conditioning, TV/DVD, full kitchen, barbecue and quality furnishings throughout.

Lovingly restored by Cheryl and Garry Lamb, Lamont House has the atmosphere and warmth you would expect from such a historic building. Combined with a wide selection of gourmet meals from the ever-changing menu, Lamont House is the perfect location for your next dinner party, birthday, celebration or meeting, offering fine dining in a relaxed and private atmosphere. All food is prepared using available local produce and we offer a selection of local wine.

Lamont House was originally constructed early in the twentieth century. The exact date of its construction is unknown because of a fire that destroyed council records in 1911. The original owner of the property, Mr Long, operated it as one of Leongatha's early general stores and later transformed it into a coffee palace which served the needs of travellers arriving at the nearby train station. The building's subsequent owner was a local engineer and road contractor who was responsible for building the unique retaining wall that surrounds the property. Lamont House operated as a boarding house until the late 1970s. Since September 2000, Lamont House has been offered gourmet dining in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
